HETTI BARKWORTH-NANTON
Hetti Barkworth-Nanton is a passionate advocate for the protection and empowerment of women and children affected by domestic abuse. As the Chair of the Board at Refuge, the largest provider of specialist domestic abuse services in England, Hetti has been at the forefront of efforts to transform the care and support available to survivors. Since assuming the role in 2020, she has spearheaded initiatives to expand Refuge’s reach and enhance the quality of services offered to those in need.
In addition to her leadership at Refuge, Hetti is the co-founder of the Joanna Simpson Foundation, where she works tirelessly to campaign for improved responses to domestic abuse and homicide. Her commitment to this cause is deeply personal and drives her mission to ensure that women and children have access to the resources, protection, and justice they deserve.
Hetti's background in leading financial, commercial, and transformational change in large organizations has provided her with the strategic expertise to effect meaningful change in the domestic abuse sector. Her work is dedicated to creating a safer society where survivors are supported, and their voices are heard.
